As per the ancient Vedic scriptures, Shiva awakened from a state of deep meditation after a thousand years, and a teardrop fell to the ground upon opening his eyes. This teardrop was enveloped by Mother Earth which gave birth to the seeds growing Rudraksha trees. The Rudraksha seed is known to hold the key to the secrets of the evolution of the cosmos.
You must have seen images of Lord Shiva wearing Rudraksha beads on his arms, heads, and hands, leading to the religious, spiritual, and physical significance of Rudraksha. It is often used for chanting sacred mantras as Rudraksha is believed to form a protective shield from various negative influences. Rudraksha is also known to carry healing powers that can cure various mental diseases and alleviate stress.
People swear by Rudraksha to attain their life goals and overcome various obstacles. It is known to bestow happiness and peace, which is why spiritually inclined people wear Rudraksha to enhance their spiritual growth. Rudraksha is naturally grown and handpicked. They are believed to serve as a bond of connection between nature, lord shiva, and humans. Being an energy-dwelling natural thing, Rudraksha holds electromagnetic vibrations and energy, which imbibe with a human’s emotions and actions.
Since Rudraksha serves as a treasure trove of untamed energy, the wearer is required to pacify and vibe with it for the best results. For synchronizing a Rudraksha, it is necessary to energize the same. Each kind of consecrated Rudraksha carries a specific type of energy, and you need to energize the Rudraksha before wearing them. Everyone doesn’t know about the process of energizing Rudraksha. This process requires a high concentration level, and today we will explain it thoroughly.
- Choose an auspicious day and time.
- After taking a bath, sit on a mat facing towards the east.
- You can use Panchagavya (mixture of cow urine, cow dung, ghee, milk, and curd) or Panchamritam (A mixture of honey, raw milk, ghee, sugar, honey, and curd). Apply it to the Rudraksha beads.
- Initiate the process by sprinkling some holy Ganges water stored in a pure copper pot and placing the Rudraksha at your meditation altar or Pooja Sthal.
- Apply some sandalwood paste to the Rudraksha.
- Offer white flowers and place nine Peepal leaves on a plate as offerings and chant the sacred mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ three times by visualizing Shiva in the mind’s eye.
- Sprinkle the holy water with Kusha grass on the Rudraksha from the copper pot. Now brush a flower dipped in sandalwood and aromatic oil against the beads.
- Next, light some incense sticks or agarbathi so the beads can absorb the fragrant fumes.
- Offer rice to the plate kept in front of the Rudraksha for offerings.
- Burn camphor while circling it thrice in front of the plate and chant the Surya mantra ‘Om Bhu Om Bhuvah Om Svaha Om Maha Om Janaha Om Tapaha Om Satyam.’
and Gayatri mantra – ‘Om Bhur Bhuvah Swah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat’
- Also, chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra (Om Tryambakam Yajamahe, Sugandham Pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat) and offer rice kept in the offerings plate following each round.
- Finally, chant the Beej mantra nine times and chant the last prayer by bowing down in supplication.
