Bike Specifications
The Super Splendor 125 comes with a fairly basic engine, but it’s a strong performer. It displaces 124.8cc and outputs 9bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and produces 10Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It’s not too far behind its elder brother in these figures either:
Hero Xtreme 160R Air- Cooled 1636cc Single cylinder engine is also rated to produce 15bhp at 8,500 rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
So what makes a bike like the Super Splendor stand out? Looks play an important part in setting new benchmarks for style – something that has become synonymous with Hero bikes over time.
This one gets some really nice graphics on both sides as well as some chrome highlights on the tank console, which looks stunning!
Other than that, there are no major upgrades or changes from its previous model. This means you still get a simple instrument console with only two dials – one for speedometer and another for tachometer.
These are flanked by a turn indicator switch on one side and headlight switch on another. You also get front disc brakes and rear drum brakes along with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped around 80/100 section tyres; all standard stuff.
But then again, if you’re looking to buy your first motorcycle or just want something simple to ride without burning a hole in your pocket every month on servicing costs then why look beyond something like Super Splendor?
Price and Availability
Currently, Hero Motors India is producing its first city bike, Super Splendor, in new variants in 124cc as well.
In order to meet different needs of its customers in different price range, it will now launch a new 124 cc variant of Super Splendor.
It will be a ‘super’ bike that can be used as city commuter vehicle and can also do some good on highways too with high speed limits of up to 90 km/h.
This bike will not only be available at existing outlets but also at new dealerships that are being setup all around India.
This will definitely increase brand loyalty among customers who might want to buy another bike from Hero Motors India soon.

Customers looking for more power from their bikes would surely appreciate higher power output engine which should translate into higher top speed and more fun during ride time.

Brakes and Suspension
Like every other bike in its price range, both front and rear brakes on Super Splendor are single drum units with a single-piston calliper.
But for an upgrade of some extra Rsupees you can opt for Hero’s new ABS braking system bikes.
Suspension duties at front ends are handled by telescopic fork up front and 5-step Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorbers in back.
Super Splendor is designed to be a low budget commuter bike so it comes equipped with 80/100 – 18 inch tyres at front and 90/90 – 18 inch tyres at rear.
While they may not offer as much grip as high performance tyres they offer decent levels of grip even on wet roads.
Front wheel travel is 18 inch while rear wheel travel stands at 18 inch as well.
Pillion Comfort: One area where Super Splendor shines is its seat height and ergonomics which were specifically designed keeping in mind comfort levels for pillion riders.
With seat height set at 785mm it will be comfortable enough even for people who are average in height.
Also footpegs are setup at little bit at middle of the bike which give you good riding posture. This bike also have good amount of under seat storage space that offers more than adequate space for first aid or your mobile phones.
Pricing: For all these features Super Splendor costs just Rs 76,550 ex-showroom Delhi. This makes it one of cheapest options available in India today when it comes to motorcycles that offer such a long list of features.
Frame and Design
Super Splendor has always been an entry level motorcycle in terms of its design and price.
But, over time, it has become a common sight on Indian roads with many families preferring it to its elder sibling, Super Splendor +.
It’s a known fact that hero is working on a new generation Super splendor in India,
which will be launched soon with some notable upgrades over its current model.
Speaking to Auto Professional at Auto Expo 2019 about their plans for India, CEO, Hero Motocorp India said:
We have already started work on next-generation Super Splendor and we plan to launch it soon.
Making some significant changes to make it more appealing than before.
Also planning to introduce a new variant of existing models in coming months.
I think it will further enhance our position in 125cc segment in India.
The other reason behind launching a new variant is to attract first time buyers.
who do not want to spend much on bikes below 150cc segment but still need something powerful enough for city driving.
Riding Impression
Being a commuter, I spend most of my day on my bike.
Any bad experience with a bike can definitely make your working day unpleasant.
This is why I am very happy to report that my time on,
Hero’s new Super Splendor 125 has been absolutely delightful!
It’s a smooth ride and feels incredibly sturdy to maneuver through city traffic,
which was one of my major concerns before riding it.
And now that I’ve had some time to really get acquainted with its engine and brakes,
I know that they are both well-designed for city riding and well-suited
for someone like me who usually gets stuck in traffic jams.
Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable option for your daily commute
that won’t leave you feeling exhausted after spending hours on it every day,
then look no further than Hero’s new Super Splendor 125! You will not be disappointed.
Hero bikes
India’s largest selling two-wheeler brand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
introduced new variants of its motorcycle – Super Splendor in April 2015 its been 7 years of new super splendor.
Price is between Rs 75,000 and Rs 79,500 (on-road Mumbai).
both these variants come with a host of new features including Halogen headlamp, tail lamp and indicators.
We were quick to spot these two new models on sale at various dealerships
across Pune and decided to get one for a test ride. Here’s what we found out:
This bike has great power and offers amazing performance.
I was very impressed by its acceleration; it took just 4 seconds to go from 0 to 50 km/h! Also, thanks to its low weight,
I could turn easily even while taking sharp turns at high speeds.
Another big advantage is that you can easily maneuver through traffic because of how compact it is.
It also has disc & Drum brakes variants brakes which made braking more effective than other bikes in its price range.
This makes me feel safer while riding it because there are fewer chances of skidding during emergency situations.
